Impersonation and Theft at New York City Church

NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating an incident where a 63-year-old male was victimized by an impersonator at the American Martyrs RC Church, located at 79-43 Bell Boulevard. On Sunday, the perpetrator gained access to the church under false pretenses.

Once inside, the suspect removed $900 in cash from the victim’s unlocked bedroom and fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan heading south on Bell Boulevard.

The victim was unharmed. Authorities are searching for a male suspect described as having a light complexion, aged 45–55, weighing 190 pounds, standing 5’9” tall, bald with a beard, and last seen wearing a blue suit with black shoes.
