Harrisburg, PA – Attorney General Michelle Henry has filed a lawsuit against Davis Communications Internet, Inc., and its owner, David Davis, accusing them of posing as an internet provider while merely reselling services bought from legitimate sources.

The operation, which primarily targeted consumers in rural York County, offered what appeared to be direct internet services under the guise of “LTE high-speed internet” and “Truly Unlimited Service.” However, the lawsuit alleges that Davis Communications was in fact subscribing to business internet plans from a legitimate provider and then reselling those connections without proper authorization or disclosure.

Attorney General Henry’s lawsuit aims to ban Davis Communications and David Davis from selling internet services in Pennsylvania and seeks consumer restitution, civil penalties, and the forfeiture of ill-gotten profits. The lawsuit further accuses the defendants of misleading consumers about service interruptions and failing to issue refunds, instead accusing customers of “data abuse” without clear justification.

“This case highlights our commitment to protect consumers, especially those in vulnerable communities with limited internet options,” stated Attorney General Henry.
