Investigation Continues in Maryland Prison Inmate Mirder Case

JESSUP, MD – The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit continues its investigation into the homicide of a state prison inmate at the Jessup Correctional Institution.

The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Nicholas Joseph Delfosse, who was serving a sentence for burglary.

On Saturday, Delfosse was found in his cell with multiple injuries shortly before 4:30 pm. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A suspect, also an inmate, has been identified but has not been charged as of now.

Investigators are awaiting autopsy results to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
