Investigation underway after 18-year-old injured in shooting in Baltimore’s Southern District

BALTIMORE, MD – Police in Baltimore responded to a shooting incident in the Southern District early this morning, which left an 18-year-old male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his right leg. According to reports, officers were called to the 1000 block of S. Charles Street at around 1:13 a.m. following reports of discharging.

Upon arrival, they found the victim in the 1100 block of S. Hanover Street, and he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no information about the shooter’s identity or the incident’s circumstances.

No arrests have been made.
