Investigation Underway After Fire Breaks Out in Wilkinsburg Residential Building

WILKINSBURG, PA – A fire broke out early in the morning in a three-unit building located in the 1300 block of Wood Street, Wilkinsburg. At approximately 3:03 a.m., Wilkinsburg Police observed smoke in the area of Wood Street and Singer Place, prompting first responders to arrive at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit responded to the incident, and detectives from the ACPD have partnered with the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office to initiate an investigation into the cause of the fire.
