Seaside Heights, N.J. – On Labor Day, Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli walked the Seaside Heights boardwalk, offering smiles and encouragement to Jersey Shore residents who say they have been overlooked by state leaders in Trenton.
The Shore community, long weighed down by high taxes, rising energy costs, and school funding losses, has also voiced frustration over offshore wind projects that threaten to change the natural Atlantic Ocean horizon. Ciattarelli used his visit to connect with voters who see themselves as forgotten under Gov. Phil Murphy and Democratic leadership.
The boardwalk was packed with families enjoying one of the last summer weekends, and Ciattarelli greeted residents while sharing his message of lowering electric bills, cutting taxes, and keeping neighborhoods safe. His campaign highlighted the turnout as proof that voters across New Jersey are ready for change.
Ciattarelli was welcomed by Seaside Heights Mayor Anthony Vaz and Police Chief Tommy Boyd, who joined him in greeting the holiday crowd. His appearance underscored a push to restore attention to Jersey Shore towns that say they have been left behind in statewide policymaking.
His opponent, Mikie Sherrill also visited the Jersey Shore last weekend, but she delivered the same message that has been causing pain and suffering for residents at the shore: continued bail reform, offshore wind, no answers to flawed school funding, more failed offshore wind promises, sanctuary cities, and handcuffing police from locking up criminals.
