Jack Ciattarelli receives warm welcome at Newark Afrobeat Fest

Former New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli attended the Afrobeat Fest in Newark, receiving a warm reception as he joined in the celebration of African culture and community on Saturday.

Afrobeat Fest, held annually in Newark, is a daylong cultural festival that highlights African music, food, dance, fashion, and traditions. The event draws thousands of attendees from across the region and features live performances, vendors, and family activities centered on the African diaspora.

Ciattarelli posted about his visit on social media, writing, “Stopped by the incredible AfroBeat Fest in Newark — a vibrant celebration of African culture, music, food, and community!”

Hosted in downtown Newark, this year’s festival continued its tradition of spotlighting both local and international Afrobeat artists, celebrating the genre’s fusion of West African musical styles with elements of jazz, funk, and soul.
