CAMBRIDGE, MD – A Madison woman, Jaclyn Marie Johnson, 35, was taken into custody by the Cambridge Police Department in July following an active Dorchester County District Court Arrest Warrant.

She faces charges of robbery, second-degree assault, and theft in connection with an incident on July 16.

Johnson is now being held without bond at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.

According to authorities, the incident unfolded last Thursday at the K2 Beverage store on Bayly Road, where Johnson allegedly targeted a victim who was planning to cash a winning lottery ticket. Johnson is accused of following the victim to the store, where she forcibly took the lottery ticket and the victim’s cash before fleeing the scene.

The police identified Johnson as the suspect thanks partly to surveillance footage at the store. Following her arrest, Johnson has been held in the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without the possibility of bond.
