Jackson police charge ‘suicidal’ man reported with gun for assault

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Tuesday, September 10th, Jackson Police officers Schwartz, Davis and Minissale responded to a residence on Gomberg Ave for a report of a dispute in which one subject possibly had a gun. Upon the officer’s arrival contact was made with a 62-year-old male subject who was seated outside. He was unarmed, but during the course of the investigation made numerous suicidal statements. He was eventually arrested and charged with Simple Assault on a complaint summons before being transported to a local hospital for treatment.
