Meet Gizmo, the lovable pup waiting for his lucky break in Jackson

JACKSON, N.J. — A friendly 7-year-old dog named Gizmo is looking for a forever home at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, where staff say he’s ready to bring plenty of personality and companionship to the right family.

Gizmo is described as a happy, playful dog who enjoys long walks and exploring the world through his nose. Shelter staff say he walks well on a leash and thrives on outdoor time.

He gets along well with other dogs when matched appropriately and is also cat-friendly, making him a strong candidate for a multi-pet household.

Gizmo is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Because of his size, staff recommend a home with older children and a family that enjoys staying active.

Anyone interested in meeting Gizmo can visit the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility at 615 Freemont Avenue in Jackson. The shelter is open daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
