JACKSON, NJ — The Jackson Township Council will begin its 2024 calendar year this week with its annual reorganization meeting on Thursday, January 2, at 5:00 p.m. in the Jackson Township Municipal Building at 95 West Veterans Highway.

The meeting will include the appointment of local residents to community advisory boards, the selection of professional vendors, and the swearing-in of the council’s newest member, former School Board President Guiseppe Palmeri.

Special guests and dignitaries are expected to attend the event, which will also include the formal swearing-in of Councilman Mordechai Burnstein and Councilman Nino Borrelli, both reelected during the 2024 general election. Members of the public are invited to witness the proceedings.

Councilman Burnstein, was appointed in November 2023 to replace former Councilman Marty Flemming following his resignation. Burnstein, Palmeri, and Borrelli will each take the oath of office to begin their four-year terms on the council.
