Jefferson County Family Found Dead in House Fire

JEFFERSON COUNTY, IN – A woman and three children were found dead in a house fire in Jefferson County, Indiana. Naomi Briner, 35, and her children, Adelia, 12, Leland, 8, and Iyla, 6, were discovered in their home just outside Madison. The victims appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds, adding a layer of complexity to the tragedy.

Their bodies were found by firefighters who put out a fire at their home.

The grim discovery was made on Tuesday, leading firefighters to call in state fire marshals and the Indiana State Police (ISP) to investigate the situation. While details remain scarce, authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat.

No arrests have been made at this time.
