Jen Psaki says no Americans stranded, but stranded American mom says “I’m stranded”

KABUL,AFGHANISTAN/MARCH 3, 2009: The one of central streets.

An American mom stranded in Afghanistan said she’s not sure if she’s going to make it out and is now being told to ‘stay put’ by American officials. On Monday, White House Press Secretary responded to Fox News reporter Peter Doocey, saying “No Americans are stranded.”

“I would like them to do whatever it takes to get U.S. nationals out and people that worked with the U.S.,” the mom said. “Time is running out. They really need to work on a strategy. They need to work on a plan that works. We get more news to stay put than to be told we’re going to be evacuated. This is not comforting at all because we don’t know if we’re going to make it out.”

She then broke down in tears.
