Norwalk man hits $100K jackpot on scratch-off ticket from local store
NORWALK, CT – A quick stop at a local convenience store turned into a six-figure payday for one Connecticut man who recently claimed a $100,000 prize from a Jumbo Bucks scratch-off ticket.
Luigi S., of Norwalk, scored the top prize after purchasing the winning ticket at In and Out Variety, located in Norwalk. The win was recorded on September 22, and according to the Connecticut Lottery, the lucky ticket was part of the popular Jumbo Bucks game, which offers large cash prizes for a low entry cost.
The Connecticut Lottery did not release additional information about the winner or his future plans, but the $100,000 prize represents one of the larger recent wins in Fairfield County.
In and Out Variety will also receive a retailer bonus from the lottery for selling the top-prize winning ticket.
The Jumbo Bucks game continues to circulate in the state, with other top prizes still available. Connecticut residents are reminded that lottery winnings of $600 or more are reported to the IRS and are subject to applicable taxes.
