Juvenile Arrest Made After South Boston Shooting Incident

BOSTON, MA – On Tuesday at approximately 8:06 PM, officers from District C-6 responded to 8 Reverend Richard A Burke Street following reports of a shooting incident. Upon their arrival, they discovered an adult female with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical assistance was immediately provided, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Ballistic evidence was recovered at the scene.

Following an investigation, a suspect description was broadcast. Officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force then conducted a search and located the suspect at North Point Drive and Westwind Road.

A 15-year-old juvenile male was taken into custody. He faces charges including Delinquent to wit; Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (Firearm), Delinquent to wit; Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Firearm Without a License.

Additional charges include Delinquent to wit; Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card, and Delinquent to wit; Discharge a Firearm Within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.
