Juvenile Arrested After Stabbing Teen in Face at Wilkes-Barre Party

WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 15-year-old male from Wilkes-Barre has been arrested following an aggravated assault that left another juvenile with a facial laceration. The incident occurred on the evening of June 1st, around 10:17 PM, at a party on the 200 block of George Avenue.

Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a 14-year-old male victim with a laceration to his face. Emergency medical services were promptly called, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

According to the authorities, a physical altercation broke out between the suspect and the victim during the party, during which the suspect allegedly used a knife to slash the victim’s face. The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended shortly thereafter by the police.

Following his arrest, the suspect was taken to city headquarters for processing and was later released into the custody of his parents. Charges are expected to be filed in Juvenile Court.
