Juvenile Arrested for Armed Robbery in D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sixth District has announced the arrest of a 15-year-old in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier this week in Southeast Washington.

On Monday, at about 2:30 p.m., the juvenile suspect and possibly others confronted a victim in the 200 block of 37th Place SE. The suspects demanded the victim’s moped, and upon refusal, they assaulted the victim and brandished a firearm. The altercation escalated when the suspects forcibly removed the victim from the moped and fled with it.

The young male, a resident of Southeast D.C., was taken into custody and faces charges of Armed Robbery.
