Dorchester, MA – At about 10:20 PM on Sunday, officers from District C-11’s Anti-Crime Unit arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male on firearm charges. They had responded to a report of teenagers breaking into vehicles and found a group matching the description near 82 Wrentham Street.

Upon stopping the group, officers conducted a search and discovered a firearm, a Ruger .22 LR Model SR 22, with a defaced serial number. Loaded with one round in the chamber and three in the magazine, the gun led to the juvenile’s arrest on charges including illegal firearm and ammunition possession, along with firearm serial number defacement.

The arrested juvenile will face charges at the Dorchester District Court while the other individuals involved were released promptly after the incident.
