Juvenile Male in Custody Following Armed Carjacking on Georgia Avenue

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Major Crimes Division arrested and charged a juvenile male for an armed carjacking that occurred in the 13000 block of Matey Road.

The victim was approached by the suspect while taking out his trash. Threatened with a knife, he handed over his Honda Accord’s key.

The suspect was later apprehended during a traffic stop at Georgia Avenue and Seminary Road.
