Brooklyn, NY — A knife-wielding suspect carried out a string of robberies across three Brooklyn neighborhoods over eight days, stealing thousands of dollars from small businesses and leaving workers shaken, according to the NYPD. The incidents, reported in Williamsburg, Downtown Brooklyn, and Park Slope, followed a similar pattern of threats and cash register thefts.
Police say the suspect remains unidentified and is wanted in connection with all three robberies spanning the 90th, 84th, and 78th Precincts.
Pattern of escalating daytime and nighttime robberies
The first reported robbery occurred on Saturday, April 18 at approximately 10:16 p.m. inside a business at 325 Graham Avenue in the 90th Precinct. Investigators say the suspect initially asked a 27-year-old employee to exchange coins, left, then returned, displayed a knife, and stole about $900.
A week later, on Saturday, April 25 at around 8:51 a.m., the same individual allegedly struck again at 404 Atlantic Avenue in the 84th Precinct. In that incident, the suspect went behind the counter, threatened a 37-year-old worker with a knife, and took approximately $6,000.
The third robbery happened the next morning, Sunday, April 26 at about 9:48 a.m., at 270 5th Avenue in the 78th Precinct. Police say the suspect jumped over the counter, threatened a 61-year-old employee, and fled with about $380.
Consistent method raises concern for businesses
Across all three incidents, investigators say the suspect used a similar approach: entering commercial establishments, moving behind counters, displaying a knife, and demanding access to cash registers.
The repeated targeting of small businesses and the increasing boldness—from late-night to early morning robberies—has raised concerns among shop owners in the affected areas.
