Knife Wielding Suspect Tasered by Utica Police

Utica, NY- Utica Police units responded to a fight involving two individuals brandishing knives on Steuben St around 1:00 PM last Wednesday. Upon arrival, officers found the suspects ignoring commands to drop the knives, resulting in the deployment of a Taser on one of the individuals.

The Taser deployment followed the suspect’s refusal to comply, leading to a quick arrest of the individual. Subsequent investigations resulted in charges against Dukie Fernando-Fuller and Fernell Allen, aged 37 and 47, respectively, for various offenses including menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief.
