Surveillance video shows suspect wanted in brutal 7th Street stabbing

WASHINGTON, DC – Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect caught on camera during a daylight stabbing in Northwest DC last month that left one man hospitalized.

On Thursday, August 7, at around 5:36 p.m., a physical altercation between two individuals escalated violently in the 1100 block of 7th Street NW. During the fight, the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Now, over a month later, the Metropolitan Police Department has released updated video and photos of the suspect, captured on surveillance footage in the area. The video can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/oEXDT2FrOFo.

MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the stabbing. Tipsters are urged not to approach the suspect but to contact police immediately.
