Kuwaiti Man Arrested for Inappropriate Contact on Newark Bound Flight

NEWARK, N.J. – Hasan Naser Hussain Alenezi, an 18-year-old Kuwaiti national, appeared in federal court for alleged abusive sexual contact with a female passenger on a flight to Newark Liberty International Airport. The charge was announced by U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger.

According to court documents, the incident occurred on a flight from Los Angeles to Newark on November 27, 2022.

Alenezi sat next to the female victim and touched her groin and leg without her consent. He was released on a $100,000 unsecured bond and is under home detention with GPS monitoring.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a fine of $250,000. The FBI led the investigation, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James E. Dennehy.

The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny Chung. The case is ongoing, and anyone with additional information is asked to contact the FBI.
