Lacey 7-11 Robbed by Masked Man

LACEY, NJ – It’s not sure whether a masked criminal was wearing a mask to conceal his identity or whether it was his attempt at proper social distancing, but Lacey Police reported he broken into the local 7-11 and demanded money, smashing the glass counter in the store.

Robbery- On Saturday, April 11, 2020, at 9:59 p.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven, 524 Lacey Rd, for a report of a robbery. The employee reported that a white male wearing a mask had entered the store and demanded money from the register. The male displayed a hammer and smashed out the glass portion of the countertop. He then reached over the countertop, grabbing the cash register drawer prior to running from the store. Detective Ewart as well as the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI unit and a K-9 unit responded to the scene.
