Lakewood Man Arrested for Bank Robbery in Brick Township

BRICK, NJ — Chief of Police David Forrester of the Brick Township Police Department announced the arrest of Andrew Borbotko, 3rd, 44, from Lakewood, charged with second-degree robbery related to a recent bank robbery.

The arrest occurred on Thursday, following an incident that took place at the Santander Bank on Monday.

A warrant for Borbotko’s arrest was issued on Wednesday, leading to his voluntary surrender on Thursday without any complications. He has since been processed and detained at the Ocean County Jail.

Chief Forrester expressed gratitude towards multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Brick Township Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, Lakewood Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and the FBI’s Red Bank Office for their collaborative efforts in this case.
