Lancaster County Jury Convicts Man of Sexual Assault of Minor

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA – John Wakefield Jr., 48, of South 4th Street, Columbia, was found guilty of statutory sexual assault and related charges after a three-day trial.

The victim, a minor, provided video evidence of the final assault, leading to Wakefield Jr.’s conviction.

The case, prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Christopher Miller, revealed the abuse spanned from February to September 2022.

The defense’s claim of Wakefield Jr. never being alone with the victim was refuted by the video evidence.

Miller emphasized the visual evidence’s impact in his closing argument.
