Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents arrest sex offender

LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents from the Laredo North Station arrested a convicted sex offender at the Interstate Highway 35 checkpoint north of Laredo, Texas.

 The arrest occurred on April 20, when agents intercepted a failed human smuggling attempt at the checkpoint. One of the undocumented individuals was identified as Daniel Calixto-Santos, a 26-year-old Mexican national.  Record checks revealed that Calixto-Santos had a prior felony conviction for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child out of Lewisville, Texas.
