Late-Night Gunfire Claims Life in Baltimore, Killer at Large

BALTIMORE, MD – A homicide investigation is underway following a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of January 4, 2024, in the Central District of Baltimore.

At approximately 12:09 a.m., a Central District police officer, while on routine patrol, was informed by a citizen about a shooting victim located in the unit block of North Eutaw Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an unidentified male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. As of now, the victim’s identity has not been disclosed, and the circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear.

Baltimore Police Department’s Homicide detectives are actively investigating the case and appeal to the public for any information related to the incident.
