Late-Night Shooting in Brooklyn Leaves One Dead

BROOKLYN, NY – A man was fatally shot late Sunday evening in Brooklyn, prompting an immediate response from local law enforcement. The incident occurred at approximately 10:44 PM near Flushing Street and Steuben Street, within the 88th Precinct’s area.

Upon their arrival, police found an unidentified male in his 30s with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was quickly transported to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced dead.

As of now, there have been no arrests in connection with the shooting. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this fatal incident is ongoing.

Police believe this shooting may be related to a Venezuelan street gang and another shooting just blocks away at a migrant housing facility.
