Lewiston Domestic Incident Ends in Gunfire

LEWISTOWN, PA – The Lewistown Police Department responded to a shooting incident at 500 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, on Sunday afternoon. The incident, reported at 2:36 p.m., occurred during a domestic dispute.

The victim, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, was transported by EMS.

Currently, the injuries are not considered life-threatening. Initial investigation revealed the shooting happened during an altercation involving a knife.

Detectives have interviewed the individuals involved in the incident, who were cooperative. The Lewistown Police Department has confirmed this was an isolated event, posing no risk to the public.

Assistance in the investigation was provided by the Mifflin County Regional Police Department, Granville Township Police Department, and the Pennsylvania State Police Forensic Services Unit.
