Linden Police Looking For Burglary Suspect

LINDEN, NJ – The Linden Police Department is asking the public for assistance to help identify a suspect wanted for a pair of burglaries that took place Thursday morning.

According to police, at approximately 3:00 am the suspect attempted to break through the glass door of the Bel-Air Cleaners, located at 1914 E. St. George Ave.

“Minutes later, at approximately 3:10 am, Officers responded to the Speedway Gas Station convenience store, located at 117 W St. George Ave, on a reported burglary in progress. The suspect fled the scene prior to Police arrival, traveling east on W. St. George Ave toward Elizabeth in what is believed to be a red or orange sedan,” the department said in a statement.

“The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his early 50’s, heavy build, wearing a dark colored winter wool hat, black frame glasses, black long sleeve colored shirt, blue denim jeans, and grey/black sneakers,” the department added.
