Linkwood Man Charged for $3k Discount Scam at AutoZone

CAMBRIDGE, MD – Gregory Scott Robbins SR, a 54-year-old resident of Linkwood, was served with a Criminal Summons by CPD officers on Friday, August 4, at approximately 9:35 am.

Robbins was located at WaWa and subsequently released upon his signature.

The charges brought against Robbins include Theft Scheme valued between $1,500.00 and $25,000.00, Theft of less than $100.00 Value and Theft valued between $100.00 and $1,500.00.

These charges arise from an incident reported on Wednesday, August 2, to the Cambridge Police Department.

At 7:44 pm, CPD officers responded to a theft report at AutoZone on Sunburst Highway. A regional loss prevention manager claimed Robbins had been manipulating discounts on items he bought, leading to a total loss of $3,152.69 during July.

Robbins had been applying discounts from 22.25% to 94.60% off the original prices of items he bought. CPD officers pursued charges, leading to the issuance of a Criminal Summons.
