Loaded Gun Found in Middle School Bathroom

ADELPHI, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department is actively investigating the discovery of a loaded gun at Sonia Sotomayor Middle School.

At around 10:20 am, the police were notified that the firearm was found in a teachers’ lounge restroom. The individual responsible for bringing the gun into the school has not been identified.

Investigators are currently working to establish how long the weapon had been in the restroom. The case remains open and under investigation.
