Indiana County player wins $156,512 Treasure Hunt jackpot with ticket sold at local tavern
Middletown, PA – A Pennsylvania Lottery player in Indiana County hit the Treasure Hunt jackpot this weekend, winning $156,512.50 in Saturday’s drawing.
The winning ticket matched all five numbers drawn — 1, 3, 13, 16, and 29 — on September 13. It was sold at Griffith’s Tavern, located at 11710 Route 56 Highway East in East Wheatfield Township. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
In addition to the jackpot, more than 54,200 other Treasure Hunt tickets won prizes in the drawing. Lottery officials remind players to check every ticket carefully, as winners are not known until tickets are claimed and validated.
Treasure Hunt winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Tickets bought in stores should be signed immediately on the back, while online winnings are automatically deposited into a player’s account once processed.
The Treasure Hunt game, introduced in May 2007, is drawn daily at 1:35 p.m. with ticket sales closing at 1:05 p.m.
