Locals educate parents on high stakes testing

After months of preparation, with invitations delivered to everyone from New Jersey Commissioner of Education David Hespe to parents, politicians and school board members, Delran Education Association President Michael Kaminski and his members directed their efforts toward final preparations: setting up a registration table, adjusting the lighting, checking the microphone, and most important, testing the wireless technology. Within the hour, nearly 500 adults would need that wireless technology for DEA’s “Take the PARCC” event on Dec. 3. That night they would get a feel for what their children will experience this spring when the actual PARCC tests are administered.
