Long Island store sells $18K winning TAKE 5 ticket in midday lottery draw

Merrick, NY — A TAKE 5 lottery ticket worth $18,705 was sold in Merrick for the midday drawing held on Wednesday, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at CardsUnlimited, located at 2170 Merrick Avenue. The ticket matched all five numbers drawn in the October 1 midday game. TAKE 5 draws from a field of numbers ranging from 1 to 39, with daily drawings taking place at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Lottery prizes can be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing. The identity of the winner has not yet been released.
