Lost dog found near Easton Road turnpike ramp in Upper Moreland

UPPER MORELAND, Pa. — A frightened dog was found early Friday morning running along Easton Road near the Pennsylvania Turnpike on-ramp, according to the Upper Moreland Police Department.

Officers located the dog and ensured it was safely secured before arranging for transport to the SPCA in Conshohocken.

Police are asking anyone who may recognize the animal or know where it belongs to contact the SPCA directly at 610-825-0111.

“This very scared dog was found early this morning running on Easton Road by the Turnpike on-ramp,” the department stated in a social media post.

No further details regarding the dog’s breed, size, or identifying features were provided.

The dog is currently in the care of the SPCA while authorities attempt to locate its owner. It is unclear how long the dog had been loose or how it ended up near the highway.
