Pataskala man snags $500K prize from VIP Millions scratch-off

Pataskala, OH — A local man struck gold in Licking County this week, walking away with a $500,000 cash payout after hitting the top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s VIP Millions Scratch-Off game.

The winning ticket, worth $40,000 a year for 25 years, was purchased at Duchess #1105, located at 110 W Broad Street in Pataskala. The lucky player chose the lump-sum cash option instead of annual payments.

After 28% in combined federal and state taxes, the winner will receive $360,000.

The VIP Millions game, priced at $50 per ticket, is one of the Ohio Lottery’s most lucrative instant games. As of Thursday, 26 top prizes remain in circulation.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed over $33 billion to education funding statewide. This latest win marks another major prize awarded in a scratch-off game that continues to generate big payouts across Ohio.
