NEW YORK, NY – Lottery tickets are being targeted by an enterprising thief in Manhattan. According to police, a lottery thief that made off with over $1,400 in tickets from a Lexington Avenue deli has struck again.
Last Sunday, the suspect threatened an employee inside a deli to give them a soda and lottery tickets. The employee complied.
Now, the same suspect walked into a grocery store on 8th Avenu and removed six boxes of lottery scratch-off tickets by force, valued at $9,000.
The suspect fled the business heading north on West 4th Street.
Police today confirmed the same suspect was responsible for both lottery ticket robberies. At this time, he remains at large.
