Bladensburg lottery player hits $50K Bonus Match 5 jackpot at 7-Eleven

Bladensburg, MD – A lottery ticket sold at a 7-Eleven in Bladensburg has turned into a $50,000 payday for one lucky Marylander who matched all five numbers in the September 9 Bonus Match 5 drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 4199 Kenilworth Avenue in Prince George’s County. It was one of three top-tier winning tickets sold statewide that night, but the Bladensburg win marked a significant moment for the local retailer and the community.

The winning numbers drawn were 3, 6, 9, 18, and 27—all divisible by three—adding an unusual twist to a night that saw three separate winners across three different Maryland towns. The Bonus Ball was 25.

To win the Bonus Match 5 top prize, players must match all five main numbers drawn from a field of 39. The Bonus Ball is drawn separately and can increase the value of lower-tier prizes, but does not factor into the top prize.

As of this win, there have now been 32 Bonus Match 5 top-tier winners in Maryland this year.

The winner has 182 days to claim the $50,000 prize through Maryland Lottery headquarters, located at the Montgomery Park Business Center in Baltimore. Prizes above $25,000 must be claimed in person or by mail, and an appointment is required for all in-person claims.

Lottery officials remind players to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and store them in a safe place.
