Lucky hunch earns Baltimore man $30K win

Man holding dollar bills roll, corruption payment, dirty money, financial fraud

BALTIMORE, MD — A spontaneous decision at the pump led to a $30,000 payday for a Baltimore assistant restaurant manager who claimed a top prize on the Maryland Lottery’s Bonus Crossword 7th Edition scratch-off.

The $3 ticket was purchased at the Sunoco gas station located at 750 East 25th Street. The winner had stopped to refuel and decided on a whim to buy a scratch-off. Later that day, he returned home, scratched the ticket, and uncovered 10 matching words—enough to secure the game’s top prize.

The winner, a soccer enthusiast, said he intends to use the prize to pay down student loans. This marks one of several top-prize claims since the 7th Edition of the Bonus Crossword ticket was launched.

The Sunoco gas station will receive a $300 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Bonus Crossword game continues to deliver big wins

The Bonus Crossword 7th Edition is among the Maryland Lottery’s low-cost games with high return potential. With additional top prizes still available, the game remains a popular option for players seeking word-based play formats.
