Greensboro, MD – A Caroline County resident won $50,000 in the Maryland Lottery’s Pick 5 game during the midday drawing on May 4. The winner, known for being a fan of the lottery’s games, decided to play $1 straight on Pick 5 while out running errands.

Stopping by Greensboro Tiger Mart to purchase his games, the lucky player chose his own numbers for two Pick 5 games for the midday and evening drawings. Despite not being his regular spot for lottery purchases, he opted to use the vending machine at this location.

Upon checking the numbers using the Maryland Lottery mobile app, the fortunate winner realized his ticket had hit the jackpot. Overwhelmed by the discovery, he immediately called his wife to share the good news. The family man, who owns a trucking company, plans to invest most of his winnings back into his business, with intentions to take a vacation and financially support his family. The retailer that sold the winning ticket, Greensboro Tiger Mart, will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery.
