Lucky numbers pay off for Rochester player with big TAKE 5 prize

ROCHESTER, NY – A lucky Rochester player won a $19,958 top prize in the March 8 TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at World Wide News, located at 100 St. Paul St. in Rochester.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with numbers drawn from a field of one through 39. Players have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.

The New York Lottery remains the most profitable lottery in North America, generating $3.8 billion in the 2023-2024 fiscal year to support public education across the state.
