Lucky Ohio man claims $2 million top prize on scratch-off

NEWARK, OH — A lottery player from Ohio is now a multimillionaire after winning the top prize on the $2,000,000 Cash Blast scratch-off.

The winner, identified as Dave, claimed the $2 million prize as a lump sum cash option of $1 million. After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, he will receive $720,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jefferson Woods Duchess #1201, located at 900 N 21st St. in Newark.

The $20 scratch-off game still has three top prizes remaining as of February 13.
