GROVEPORT, OH — A longtime customer at Norm’s Market walked away with a $50,000 prize after playing the Ohio Lottery’s Billion scratch-off game.

The winner, who purchased the ticket at the store located in Groveport, claimed one of the game’s third-tier prizes. After taxes, he will receive approximately $36,000. He told lottery officials he’s already used part of the winnings and invested the rest.

As of July 18, there are still 118 prizes of $50,000 remaining in the Billion scratch-off game, along with top prizes of $1 million a year for life. The odds of winning a $50,000 prize in the game are 1 in 99,692.

Norm’s Market remains a popular spot for lottery players in the area.
