Bellmore auto shop sells $50K Powerball ticket in latest drawing
BELLMORE, NY – A lucky Powerball player who purchased a ticket at a Bellmore auto shop is now $50,000 richer, New York Lottery officials confirmed.
The winning ticket, matching four numbers plus the Power Ball in the September 29 drawing, was sold at Sunrise Auto Center, located at 207 Sunrise Highway.
The Powerball drawing is held three times a week—on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.—with numbers drawn from a field of 1 to 69 and a red Power Ball drawn from 1 to 26.
The New York Lottery, which supports public education, reported contributing $3.6 billion in the last fiscal year to schools statewide.
