Lunar Faire brings fairies and folklore to Cape May night market

Moonlight at Harvest Time. A harvest moon rises above a newly harvested field of corn at night.

Cape May, NJ – Magic meets literature this weekend as the Lunar Faire returns with a “Fairy/Tales” themed night market at Historic Cold Spring Village.

The whimsical event, set for Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., celebrates the Autumn Equinox with a blend of fairy-inspired fun and bookish charm. Guests are invited to don fairy wings or dress as their favorite characters in literary cosplay while exploring vendors, live entertainment, and themed activities.

A highlight of the evening will be the fairy circle dance—dubbed a mushroom ring—where attendees can join in the revelry under the night sky. Organizers warn it may feel like stepping straight into folklore.

Admission is $15 in advance or $25 at the door, while children 10 and under may attend free.
