Luzerne County Scores Big With $1 Million Cash 5 Jackpot Winner

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket sold in Luzerne County won a $1 million jackpot in the October 25 drawing, lottery officials announced. The winning ticket matched all five numbers drawn — 2, 8, 11, 13, and 33 — to secure the top prize.

The ticket was sold at Food Express, located at 1003 North Vine Street in Hazleton. For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, Food Express will receive a $5,000 bonus. The Pennsylvania Lottery requires winners to claim prizes within one year of the drawing date, and jackpot winners must have their tickets validated before they can be identified.

In addition to the jackpot prize, over 30,800 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets from the October 25 drawing also won prizes. Lottery officials advise all players to check their tickets and claim any lower-tier winnings at a Lottery retailer.

Anyone holding the winning ticket should contact their nearest Lottery office or call 1-800-692-7481 for claim instructions.
