Man Arrested Following Domestic and Assault

RED LION, PA – On Thursday, the New Cumberland Police Department has brought charges against Domingo Adonis Velez, a 27-year-old resident of Red Lion, in relation to a domestic assault incident. In April, officers were dispatched to a reported assault incident on the 300 block of Bridge Street.

The female victim provided details of the assault in which Velez allegedly pushed her onto the bed, strangled her, struck her with a box fan, and threatened her life with a box cutter. Velez had left the scene prior to police arrival. He was arrested on May 26 and has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, and Harassment. Velez has been transferred to the Cumberland County Prison for arraignment.
