Man Arrested for Menacing and Weapons Offenses in Dewey Beach

DEWEY BEACH, DE – On Saturday, at approximately 10:02 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to a disturbance at The Starboard on 2009 Coastal Highway.

Matthew Slentz, a 37-year-old from Ocean City, Maryland, refused to leave the premises and brandished a concealed razorblade.

Slentz was taken into custody after being tased and was found to also have a concealed spring-loaded switchblade knife.

He was charged with multiple felonies, including possession of a deadly weapon and aggravated menacing.

Slentz was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $22,050 secured bond.
